Session 1: Recruiting, Interviewing & Hiring

In this session, we will discuss the importance of job descriptions and position outlines as well as the best recruiting methods/sources, legally compliant interviewing, the selection process, and hiring best practices.

Take-Away: The best recruiting, interviewing, and hiring strategy for your business. You will be tasked with targeting your best recruiting method and creating an interview template to bring to Session 2.

Glenda Caton

Glenda Caton, owner of Caton Consulting, LLC is a Senior Certified Professional of Human Resources with over 20 years of operations, management, and human resources experience. She serves as the Workforce Readiness Chair for the Central Arkansas Human Resources Association and the Diversity Director for the AR Society of Human Resource Managers State Council.

She has created corporate HR departments, written employee handbooks, and successfully managed the employment law Bermuda Triangle that includes FMLA, ADA, and Workers Comp.

She has written and facilitated several workshops for the National Business Institute and many local/state human resources chapters covering topics such as Wellness Programs and Employment Law practices.

Her focus is to assist small business owners in achieving excellence through human resource compliance.
